dc.description.abstract | Many of the contemporary poems imbued with fear of postmodern man, constantly
searching for the possibility of faith, it is still not fully explored the issue in contemporary
Polish poetry. Literary could find help in philosophy that has managed still young
term called postsecularism.
This article is devoted to presenting the religious sphere in Wojciech Wencel’s poetry.
These lines are imbued with literary tradition associated with religion, in which the subject
often speaks from the perspective of someone who beliefs that faith is the only salvation for
the postmodern world. That religious certainty beginning to be superseded in this poetry
by a subtle metaphors of secret and distance. It becomes in time a seeker, not the one who
