Praca nad wybranymi elementami emisji głosu w zespole amatorskim

Abstract

The article presents several selected issues concerning voice production in an amateur group: the optimal posture of the singer, singer’s breath, and diaphragmatic breathing. The overall sound effect of the group depends on the vocal capabilities of the singers as well as the state of health of the vocal instrument, i.e. the body. How, then, can we achieve the desired vocal effect and enjoy singing at the same time? In amateur choirs, the job of the conductor is to instill basic singing skills in the singers, i.e. how to achieve correct posture, how to open the throat, how to emotionally deepen one’s breath, and how to manage the air while singing in order to prolong the exhale phase. The formation of a choir singer’s voice as well as the development of their natural, individual singing ability belong to the basic, everyday tasks of a conductor.
