| Abstract: | This paper presents the outline of the Waste Framework Directive 2008/98/EC with the main emphasis laid on the plastics. It describes the role of microorganisms in the plastic synthesis, degradation and possibilities of using microbial enzymes as recycling agents. It presents a brief overview of some research on plastics degradation conducted by the author. |
