Abstract

This text is devoted to the description of selected elements of lifestyle, directly and indirectly referring to the concept of sustainable development as part of the experience of city dwellers industrial. I draw the attention to the similarities and differences in socio‑cultural practices of women and men looking for their specificity. I refer to research carried out under the project on the ideas and practices of living, conducted in Katowice.
