| Abstract: | Basing on the analysis of literature the development of specific Arcachon Basin at western shore of France was presented. This basin was originated about 5000 years BP and it makes the only bay at homogenous sandy shore of the length of 250 km. The attention was also paid to present-day conditions of the geographical environment of this area and their changes under the influence of natural and anthropogenic factors and to probable changes in further time horizon as well. |
