La nueva estetica segun Jenaro Talens : el sujeto vacio

Abstract

In the Spanish poetry of the second half of the twentieth century a crack in the poetic aesthetic took place. It can be observed mainly in the poetry of Generation of Novísimos. Jenaro Talens, one of the representatives of these generation, created a notion of empty lyric subject which, in our opinion, is one of the elements demonstrating so-called new poetic aesthetic. There are two main aims of this article. On one hand, my purpose is to explain what the empty lyric subject is and, on the other hand, how this concept has been realized in the Talens’s poetic praxis. For this purpose, in my analysis I focus on El vuelo excede el ala, the first compilation of Talens’s poetry published in 1973.
