Abstrakt: One of the basic determinants for the tourism development in the region is the presence of tourist attractions. In the past these attractions were mostly created based on regional tourist attractions, which often are unique to a specific area. Nowadays, with the advancing globali-zation, there is a unification of the attractions available on a global scale. At the same time, growing competition in the tourist services market, forces entrepreneurs to use ever more surprising and aggressive forms of advertising. The article presents the evaluation of tourist attractions from the viewpoint of tourists and in the context of contemporary trends in tourist offer. The aim of the article is to formulate opinions of tourists on the topic of commercialization in tourism. The research tool used is questionnaire survey, supplemented with graphic materials. The results are ambiguous. Expectations of tourists are divergent and depend mainly on individual preferences. Due to the unification of tourist attractions, results can be considered representative of Poland. The biggest limitation of the conducted research is the subjectivity of the obtained answers, which can only be solved by selecting the higher num-ber of respondents.
