Doświadczanie sytuacji trudnych na przykładzie prowadzenia badań w działaniu

Abstract

Daily research practice makes a researcher face many difficult situations. The presented study is aimed at showing several cases of such difficulties, resulting from the reflections upon experiencing social helplessness of the intellectually disabled in the context of the functioning of an institution – a social aid centre. This is done with special focus on the educational processes which take place there. Another goal is the familiarization with difficult situations in everyday work of a special educator, specialist at school and with the difficulties experienced by a researcher conducting action research. What is also presented in the article is the success achieved by researchers during their activity as well as the way in which one activity gives rise to another, making the so called “spiral effect”.
