Abstract

The research objective of the study was formulated as a representation of the understanding of the concept of the capital market based on economic and legal sciences and the signaling of basic semantic differences in this respect. For this purpose, the first part presents the meaning of the concept of the capital market based on economic sciences, and the second part presents the understanding of this concept in the area of legal sciences. The third part of the study indicates the basic differences in both definitions. The use of the cognitive method in combination with the dogmatic and legal method allowed to formulate the conclusions presented in the study. Thus, as a result of the conducted research, it has been stated that the concept of the capital market in the theory of economy is differently recognized than the letter of law does.
