Title: Les propositions antéposées introduites par Le fait que / que et l'emploi du subjonctif
Authors: Kwapisz-Osadnik, Katarzyna
Keywords: indicatif/subjonctif moods; anti-position
Issue Date: 1996
Citation: Neophilologica, T. 12 (1996), s. 46-58
Abstract: The author presents different conceptions regarding the alternation of indicatif!subjonctif moods in clauses in anti-position. While analysing the examples she tries to answer the following questions: Does the mood in the clause in anti-position depend on the nature of the predicative exspression occurring in the main clause? Does the repetition of the substance of the clause in anti-position, when using the pronoun in the main clause, affect the mood in the clause in anti-position? Is the mood in the clause in anti-position dependent on thematic-rhematic structure? Does the difference in the usig of the moods, after le fait que and que, exist? The author discovers that the usage of the moods depends neither on the nature of the predicative expression of the main clause nor the presence of the pronoun repeating the substance of the clause in anti-position. Likewise an inadequate condition of the usage of the subjonctif mood in the clause in anti-position is the thematic-rhematic structure in which subjonctif vould be connected with the thematic part.
