| Abstract: | The paper describes children’s poetry by Konstanty Ildefons Gałczyński (1905 - 1953), one of the greatest Polish poets (years 1946-1953). The author discusses the writer´s work created during the Stalinist period, known as the literature of socialist realism, as well as original and independent writings. The article analyzes trends based on selected poems for children. The original poetic trend was based on imagination, freedom of artistic and cultural literary language while the schematic language corresponding to the conventions of socialist realism was its contrary. |
