Abstract: The subject matter of this article involves the opinions of teachers from upper‑secondary schools in Cieszyn about stereotypes concerning sexes and socio‑cultural identity of sexes. The theories of Sandra L. Bem and Jonathan H. Turner are referred to and the determinants of forming stereotypes of sexes are indicated. Moreover, the authoress presents the results of pilot studies, which confirm the thesis that teachers do not undertake the issue of sexes and that they unwillingly undertake the topics concerning stereotypes of sexes.
