Abstrakt: | The author of the article raises the issue of the possibilities of capturing the qualitative criteria
of the work of art. He refers to the anonymous author of Dialekseis, explaining the reasons of
the birth of relativism in the reception of works of culture. Next, he presents the assumptions by
Plato, Aristotle and Maximus of Tyro concerning the relationship between music and way of
thinking, and its influence on listeners’ axiological sensitivity. He uses the criticism of Cyprian
K. Norwid’s axiological way of thinking, which makes it easier to capture reductionistic aspects
of thinking in the so called critical art (T. Adorno, A. Danto). In conclusion, he points to a positive
potential of education in which the pillars would be music and philosophy. |
