Abstrakt: | Child folklore is the area of folklore composed of word, word-music, visual and graphic
products. The author of the article deals with the issue of child folklore, treating it from a start
the notion created for children and by children.
Thus, a child is presented here as a conscious fun creator through getting to know manipulative
games aiming at learning the body, the activities, the circle of the closest relatives, childhood
singing repertoire, namely lullabies and traditional-mimetic forms. Child folklore also covers
child products being an adaptation of the elements of adult culture. Microforms, such as counting-
outs, rhymes, “language twisters” focused on semantics or phony play an important role.
Child mental-physical specificity determines the features of creativity, i.e. memorization, existence
in performance, syncretism, openness and occasional nature. Songs are accompanied by
movement, and a drama, not a choreographic arrangement. |
