Czasopismo "Praktyka i Teoria Informacji Naukowej i Technicznej" w świetle danych bazy CYTBIN

Abstract

CYTBIN database has been available since 2005 and it has been created and managed by the Institute of Librarianship and Scientific Information at the University of Silesia. This database includes detailed information about all articles published in five Polish journals of librarianship and Scientific information and it includes also all the references appended to the articles. The purpose of this paper is to describe the journal profile on the basis of the data collected in the database and to determine the importance of this journal in the development of the field. All the articles published in 2000—2003 have been analysed. Contents characteristics and author affiliation have been taken into consideration. All the references have been classified according to document patterns and the publication date.
