Transformacje Biblioteki Anglistycznej : księgozbiór i jego odzwierciedlenie w katalogach elektronicznych

Abstract

The article presents the profile description of book collection in the English Department Library and the development of electronic catalogues starting from the PROLIB catalogue at the University of Silesia Library. The author writes about coming out of the University catalogue and taking part in creating other Polish bibliographical bases such as national catalogue NUKAT and the catalogue of English libraries in Poland POLANKA. There are described stages of computerization of the English Department Library. Finally, the author writes about people who built up and described its book collection.
