| Abstract: | The article is devoted to a characteristic of initial verbs in Old and Modem Polish. It consists of three parts. The first of them presents a division of initial verbs based on the literature of the subject and lexicographic sources. In the second part a division of initial verbs in Modem Polish was proposed. The third part, on the other hand, presents the situation of initial verbs in Old Polish. The authors pay attention to differences between Polish and Russian initial verbs. |
