Abstract: An important condition in shaping the personality is undoubtedly learning from others through imitating and observing, which is called modelling. The knowledge of one of the most influential concepts related to the development of personality, created on the basis of the learning theory — social-cognitive theory by Albert Bandera, enhances the understanding of these process mechanisms. This work emphasizes the opportunities and possibilities to take advantage of these modelling mechanisms in intercultural education — cultural sensitization process, in which learning the culture, cultivation of the cultural heritage, shaping attitudes of tolerance and openness to others should take place in the atmosphere of active learning through observation.
