Abstract: | This article discusses the post and transhumanistic visions of man in the fantastic French-speaking literature, traditional and new (short stories by P. Mérimée, A. Dorémieux, J.-P. Bours). The fantastic literature as a genre surpasses the traditional image of human being and taboos associated with him. There are the most popular fantastic topics (for example the werewolf theme, the theme of fantastic beast, of android) which express the post and transhumanistic images of humanity. The hybrid visions of human being and other entity, natural (as plants and animals) and artificial (as machines), have always a some aspect of physical and mental monstrosity. In fantastic literature (traditional or new), the transgression of humanistic limits causes the suffering of the hero and his milieu. |
