O avlenii nemotivirovannosti v kontekste zanatij po russkomu azyku (na materiale nazvanij nasekomyh v russkom i pol'skom azykah)

Abstract

The article concerns the phenomenon of the lack of word formation motivation and etymological analysis in a comparative aspect during Russian language classes. According to the author, paying students’ attention to the very issue on the basis of a selected thematic-lexical group (e.g. insect names) can above all raise students’ qualifications, familiarizing them with the history of language and a more conscious and thus more effective acquisition of the foreign language. Such a strategy also gives a possibility of indicating differences between Polish and Russian at a cognitive level and capturing those semantic features that remain “indiscernable” in an every-day linguistic communication.
