Abstract

The author illustrates how the students’ ways of thinking about school and itscharacteristic environment, as well as the phenomena of stress and fear accompanyingstudents at school, are being reflected in their use of language, lexis and expression oftheir opinions. On the basis of some young people’s statements, negative pictures ofschool and the atmosphere pervading it, have been presented. Simultaneously, the authorobserves that only a change in the school relations may lead to a different — positiveattitude towards the school environment.
