Między dwudziestoleciem a PRL-em : czytelnik w polskiej refleksji bibliologicznej lat 1946-1960

Abstract

The subject of the paper is developing “a reader” as a research category in the Polish bibliological thought after war (1946—1960). The very conceptions, formed in theoretical works in question and particular research realizations were to a large extent a continuation of a bibliological and library theory as well as a library practice of the interwar period, but at the same time, brought new research and terminological proposals, especially after a political thaw in 1956. They became an important stage of development of the Polish theory of book science, influencing its evolution towards “an open discipline” and “meta-discipline”.
