Przygodne tożsamości Andrzeja Sosnowskiego

Abstract

The subject of the article is the problem of subjectivity in poetry by Andrzej Sosnowski, one of the most important authors of Polish young poetry. Treating this poetry as a “typically” postmodern, the author of the article presents identity as fluid, unambiguous and “linguicised”. The three categories her interpretation concentrates include aestheticization (understood after Welsch), melancholisation (Sosnowski, as the author claims, is the best example of the Polish poetical postmodern melancholy) and ghostliness (being a game with the shadow, a postmodernist phantomaticity of presentation). Sosnowski’s subject is shown as an observer of complicated relations between reality, sensuality, supersensuality, fictionality and aesthetic quality.
