dc.description.abstract | The article raises the issues connected with the „middle literature” in the Russian contemporary
literature. The phenomenon of the “middle literature, not ultimately investigated,
although evokes controversies (because of the lack of particular determinants and too big
closeness with the popular literature) among critics and seems to be extremely helpful in the
analysis of works by young Russian playwrights Oleg and Vladimir Priesniakow. A drama
duet makes plays being an incessant dialogue of a “high” ideological message (they deal with
philosophical, existential, socio‑cultural
problems) with an artistic form adjusted to receptive
abilities of an “average” reader. Borrowing serious philosophical discourses from a highbrow
literature and shaping them in grotesque and absurd forms, depict strongly in a universal idea
of a dialogue of aesthetics and poetics. | pl_PL |
