Abstract

Helping is often understood as an unpleasant duty, an obligation or a gesture of goodwill. Instances when supporting others is a passion and an act of goodwill are rare. Among students these constitute a negligible percentage of behaviours. Young people have their passions, interests, and friendships; their time often passes on learning or playing. That is why the topic of passion for helping others among students is deemed so important. If young people meet a person in need and do not turn away from him or her, and their motive is a desire to help, then we should do everything to make them role models of behaviour for others. In addition, if there is a situation in which the young person not only gives something to others, but also can take benefits from helping them, then we may say that by helping others he or she helps himself or herself.
