| Abstract: | Among the important challenges faced by sociological theory is the process of globalisation. Hitherto, the theoretical conceptualisation of social life has been termed “theoretical nationalism”, yet it should gradually be replaced by a new cognitive perspective called “theoretical cosmopolitanism”. The article analyses basic theoretical problems associated with this challenge. |
