Abstrakt: | The title of the article was provoked by a round anniversary of the Polish television,
namely 60 years of its formation celebrated in 2012. The author claims that the identity of
the Polish television as a medium gave identity to several people. The article treats about
these names, functions in the media, and a peculiar language from the perspective of
a linguist‑communicologist.
What is connected with television development is the role of
a speaker who is an integral part of the television performance, and an every‑day
trailer of
television attractions. It builds the role of the television programme, and is someone who
is becoming a regular in the viewer’s home, is liked as a good friend and has the feature
of telegenity. Such people until 1996 were Jan Suzin, Edyta Wojtczak, Krystyna Loska and
Bogumiła Wander. In 2012, it is only the Polish Television Channel I that employs speakers.
Nowadays, the faces of television are people forecasting the weather and duets of the
breakfast television. The former, because this is a television programme that concerns
everyone without an exception, and does not divide the viewers while the latter because
of being a long‑distance
programme. The author, following the media experts, claims that
a strong position, being associated with the station is built by the presenters of the information
services and permanent journalists. In Poland, these are Kamil Durczok and Tomasz
Lis. She adds that it also concerns people being hosts of commercial genres for the station,
such as talk‑shows.
To this group belong Kuba Wojewódzki and Ewa Drzyzga. The analyses
show that the title faces of the Polish television are speaking faces of the Polish television
known not only by sight, but also by speaking and by speaking anything. |
