The article contains discussion and comparison between two literary works — fantastic tales with animals as heros. Writing about The Toad by H.C.Andersen the author of the article finds and interprets the philosophical and religious meanings of toad’s peregrinations. As to The Fly by Mikołaj Łoziński the author shows how interesting can be for young readers this original story about... flies’ family.
