Abstract: The article is dedicated to the problem of functioning of semantic-cultural categories in chosen lexical macrofield in dynamic sense. The chosen macrofield is composed by expressive appellative people names. Extralinguistic conditions of transformation in the macrofield which are motivated by the culture have been described. Three subtypes of factors determinating the changes in the field of analyzed vocabulary have been distinguished. The factors are: sociological, political and civilizing. Made observations incline to conlusions of general nature: 1) it is clearly seen an influence of extralinguistic factors on the lexis characterized emotionally and related to a man, and be a reflex of a colloquial conceptualisation of the reality; 2) vocabulary representing various semantic-cultural categories of chosen lexical macrofield emerged as a result of nomination process which takes into consideration different cognitive aspects; 3) the act of expressive nomination is motivated by both: emotions of the language user and cultural factors, which have influence on the emotions and form them.
