"Tę książkę wymyślił pies" : "Ferdynand Wspaniały" Ludwika Jerzego Kerna jako lektura ekokrytyczna

Abstract

Ferdinand the Great by Ludwik Jerzy Kern is the story of a dog, who behaves like a man and tries — with varying degrees of success — to lead a human existence. The paper proposes an ecocritical interpretation of the story by Kern and treaties it as a reading from the sign of animal studies, as a voice in the debat about relationships between species and the necessity of parting with the centuries-old anthropocentric vision of the world. For young reader Ferdinand the Great may be one of the first impulse to the ecological reflection consists in grasping the animal beings deserving of respect in the same way as a man.
