| Abstract: | This chapter constitutes an analysis of several issues regarding the functioning of the Constitutional Court in the Czech Republic. The Court’s terms of reference, based upon the legislative acts remaining in force as well as case law practice, play an extremely important part in the evaluation of the Court’s role in the political system of the Czech Republic. Therefore, the Court’s purview includes first and foremost examination of the legislative acts in terms of their conformity with the Constitution of the Czech Republic, investigation into constitutional complaints and ruling on charges against the President of the Czech Republic. |
