W pułapce dezintegracji : o chaosie w najnowszej prozie polskiej

Abstract

This paper attempts to trace the poetics of chaos in the newest Polish prose, referring to the writings of Sławomir Shuty, Joanna Bator, Natasza Goerke and Agnieszka Drotkiewicz. These writers diagnose the disintegration of reality and the cognitive subject. The generic hybridity of their writings, the fragmented narrative structure and the multiplicity of intertextual references are here analysed as categories of the aesthetics of chaos. Lack of linearity or chronology in the studied narratives is interpreted as a signal of the dispersed subjectivity of the protagonists. The poetics of chaos is thus identified on the level of the narrative structure on the one hand and the disintegration of the speaking subject and the textual world on the other.
