Abstract

This article considers the issue of the proliferation and utterly undisputed expansion of embodied post-narrative of contemporary art and the significance of human somatic sphere in art projects taking the form of performance. In contemporary times the human body becomes a bearer, a tool, or an information- cognitive channel, being indeed aptly termed a hybrid medium actively involved in organized artistic events. It may therefore be considered an irreplaceable component of contemporary art, as it facilitates embodied communication which oftentimes takes on a difficult, irritating, or even repulsive aspect.
