Porównanie najlepszych polskojęzycznych wyszukiwarek stron WWW z wyszukiwarką Google

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to answer the question of whether Polish language web search engines are capable of competing with Google — the most popular search engine in the world and, if so, in which fields. The subject of the analysis is both number of hits returned from compared services and their search capabilities. In the first part of the research among all Polish language search engines found on the Internet a group of several best ones will be selected on the criteria of number of Polish language documents retrieved and unique functions applied. In the second part the selected group will be compared with Google.
