| Abstract: | This article deals with the problem of hearsay evidentiality based on rumors and expressed in Polish and Russian by means of jakoby and якобы. For the purposes of this analysis, two language corpras were used: the National Corpus of the Polish Language (NKJP) and the NEWS-RU corpus. As a result of the analysis, there were identified the frequency of both lexemes was determined and their typical left and right collocations. It was also found that most often these particles introduce propositions whose axiological value is negative. The analysis demonstrates also that the use of the lexemes in Polish ad Russian is much similar. |
