Abstract: The aim of the paper is to reflect on the use of (new) information and communication technologies (ICT) in education system. The authors concentrate their reflections on the role of digital tools in foreign language teaching – learning process, taking into account especially a learner’s perspective. They discuss the results of a questionnaire carried out among students of French language with a view to examining the students’ personal opinions on the use of one of the most popular virtual learning systems which is the platform Moodle.
