Abstract

Motivation in didactics of foreign languages is one of the most important issues raised both in theoretical studies and in the everyday work of teachers. The paper reflects on the opinions expressed by high school and university students regarding the factors that increase motivation to learn a foreign language. The questionnaire covers issues related to developing language skills, learning methods and the choice of teaching aids. The respondents also express their opinions on the role of the teacher in the process of learning a foreign language.
