Fundacje korporacyjne i fundacje polityczne na tle ogólnych regulacji dotyczących fundacji

Abstract

There is a constitutional right to create a foundation. The legal basis of their func-tioning is the Act on foundations (6 April 1984) as well as founder or external entity created statutes. Corporate and political foundations are the new categories of foundation. The first type is created by large companies and acts between two sec-tors, non-governmental and economic. Most often the target groups of corporate foundations are: children, youth, invalids, patients, students and scientists. In Polish legal system creating political foundations is as long as foreseen (we have only the draft ofa bill now). The existence of foundations improves the quality of public de-bate, the promotion of democratic values in country, increase in citizens' electoral activity and their civil consciousness, as well as the growth of political culture.
