The author refers to the ways Norwid’s works are present, as well as means of recallingand exploiting information on poet’s life at various stages of education, that were previouslydescribed by the researchers of Norwid’s works and life. What is essential is also the reasonsof the non-existence or marginalization of the person and output of Norwid in teaching. However,the most important seem the possibilities of reading Norwid’s texts: his notes, prose,letters, but also poems, taking into account the postulates of the anthropology of literaturebased on the achievements of the anthropology of culture, hence, the perception of a literarywork as a supportive source in gaining and reconstructing the knowledge about culture, havingpreviously recognized its artistic merits.
