In the present article the author points out the relation between the phonematic
hearing quality, correct articulation and the ability to spell correctly, especially in writing
orthograms which are motivated by the phonetic rule. She discusses errors and mistakes
made by children with disturbed auditory perception as well as with lower level of phonematic
hearing and articulation difficulties. The author proposes particular integrationoriented
exercises that combine the aim of increasing phonematic hearing, articulation
and spelling ability.
