| Abstract: | The article discuses three translations of Joseph Conrad’s Typhoon into Polish. The translations by Bohdan Rychliňski, Halina СагтоП-Najder and Michal Filipczuk were compared under two categories: semantic dominant and intertextuality. The comparison shows how different readings of the short story modify lexical choices of the translators and how textual allusions amplify or change the original senses of the text. |
